Pop star Shpat Kasapi has died at the age of 40.
The Albanian singer passed away on Wednesday, after suffering a sudden heart attack in Monza, Italy.
He and wife Selvije Jao were in Italy seeking medical advice for their young son Roel, according to the Daily Star.
Selvije shared a heart-wrenching post about her husband’s passing, writing that he died in her arms.
‘You left us here alone, without you,’ she wrote on her Instagram Stories, alongside a photo of her husband holding their son.
‘You died in my arms. How close we were, how cooperative we were in maintaining our privacy,’ she went on, adding, ‘You always told me you would love me until death do us part. Why did you die in my arms? Why did you break my heart like this, my love?’
